Raquel Lindemann is a modern singer-songwriter with tie-dyed roots. Her music has been described as “Absolutely beautiful...moving beyond words” and “Happiness & Joy.” Affectionately known as “Hippie Songbird,” Raquel’s music blends folk-rock sensibilities with Texas harmonies and soulful storytelling. Couple that with a voice described by Scene In Town’s Mary Jane Farmer as “Rich, Full & Powerful,” and you can expect to see a performance bursting with light, color and emotion.
Raquel recently completed her debut album, Sunrise, created with Grammy award-winning producer Lloyd Maines. Sunrise weaves themes of hope, love, peace, kindness & strength into a “folkie, Americana, tie-dyed tapestry.” Sunrise features many incredible artists including Terri Hendrix, John Mills, and Drew Womack. In addition to lead vocals, Raquel also contributed piano and acoustic guitar parts to each song. Sunrise features 11 of Raquel’s original songs brought to life through the unique collaboration with Lloyd Maines and engineered by Pat Manske.
Raquel has been a finalist in the B.W. Stevenson Singer-Songwriter Contest and a semi-finalist in the Rusty Wier Singer-Songwriter Contest. Raquel is also an accomplished music educator and has taught at Southern Methodist University, Dallas Independent School District, as well as worked with military veterans through the non-profit HCC. Raquel leads an annual vocal workshop for Terri Hendrix’s OYOU non-profit, as well as assists Terri Hendrix & Lloyd Maines during the annual OYOU Music Camp.
